Repair NTFS partition from linux
I got a notebook with a damaged NTFS partition. Now I am trying to fix it from a knoppix boot CD. But there is no fsck for NTFS...
Is there any tool, anywhere that can repair a NTFS partition? I already tried all kind of tools for windows: partition magic, ERD command (from keuwyang super utl), and they couldn't help! |
There is no repair tool as the ntfs write support is not yet considered safe. You would be much better booting with your windows installation disk and using chkdsk.

I tried chkdsk... could fix it!
guess then I have to reformat it... |
