removing Linux


Hello, i have 2 HDD, one has Mandrake and the other winXp. I am using Lilo (sad isnt it) as my dual boot system. i want to remove Mandrake and keep XP as my default OS.

Well ... if you have your WinXP CD handy, toss it in and boot with it. When given the option, go to the command prompt to "manually restore" your installation. At the dos prompt, type:

C:\fixmbr

That will fix your master boot record which lilo has rewritten. Now it will boot straight to windows. If you want to use the second hdd in windows, you'll need to reformat it.
