Remove / Purge Evolution contacts

Using Feisty on Acer Laptop under Gnome - but I think this is a general query

Hi, I used the csv data import in Evolution to load data from my Outlook account. What I didn't realise at the time was that the data load only loaded to the contacts in Evolution.

I now have abot 1500 emails masquerading as contacts in Evolution !!

If I try and 'select all' and then delete these 'contacts' Evoluton crashes. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of theses contacts please :

where is the Evolution contacts data kept ?
how can I delete the contacts data outside of Evolution ?
can I / do I have to reinstall Evolution ?

Moving forward I am now going to import my outloook data via Thunderbird, but I need to fix this first.

It is not a problem if I have to trash all data currently in Evolution .

Cheers
Dave
