remote pc control


i want to control a server rh8 remotely..just like pcanywhere does.
then, what is the software can be used? thanks

VNC, OpenSSH, Telnet, Cron, string (how remotely does it need to be )...

For a server, I'd have to disagree. I think for a server environment it's less likely they will even have X installed, much less need it to administer their system. I'd vote for ssh

I second MasterC with ssh. It is a huge waste of resources running X on most servers. However if you want the equivilant to PCAnywhere then you'll need VNC (use tight vnc - it offers better compression) http://www.tightvnc.com/. If you are administering from linux then you could use xforwarding.
