"relocation error" when launching gtkpod on rh9

successfully(?) installed gtkpod on redhat9 box. when i try to launch, i get the following error:

gtkpod: relocation error: /usr/lib/libid3-3.8.so.3: undefined symbol: cerr

i have no clue as to what this means... it took me 3 days to figure out how to re-compile my kernel, get my new firewire card to work and get my ipod to mount. it would truly be a suck if this error is what keeps me from living happily ever after.

any help would be matched with profound gratitude.

thanx :)

i fixed it w/ a

"rpm -ivh --force id3lib-3.8.3-5.fr.i386.rpm"

not sure about the mechanics involved... all i know is that the beats of which i am currently listening, are bumpin' from my ipod, thru my linux box.

sah-weet.

peace :)
