Releasing source code into GNU
I have a simple question: I made a simple and very small program for converting measurements (distance, mass, volume, and speed) in C++, and as I have no special reason to keep the code for myself I have decided I'd like to release it into the public domain. What do I have to do to release it? Do I just declare it open source under the GNU liscense and let people download it?
I realize it's not terribly important in any respect as it's hardly more than a hundred lines of code with all the functions combined, but I'd still like to release it for future programmers who might benifit from this sorta thing. Plus I'd like to do something for the open source movement, considering how much it's helped me.
