I need to format my primary c drive and reinstall windows. Do I need to take any special care for linux? My Redhat resides on the f drive. I use GRUB for booting:newbie:

If your GRUB is in MBR then don't worry unless you will install Win2003 Server , It clear MBR .

i don't know where my grub is. the config files for grub are on f: drive.
i am planning to install windows xp. my worry is that i should be able to get my files in the linux filesystem after i reinstall windows. or else do u suggest i start copying them over to the fat file system on other drives.:newbie: |
well i wouldent do anything unless i had a startup disk handy in case the worst happenes...
but if you can get a copy of the knoppix cd yoyu should be abel to access the linux filesystems even if XP kills your linux boot systems. |
Thats a brilliant suggestion. I will have knoppix ready on hand.:newbie:
