reinstalling KDE

hi all,
i'm on redhat 9 and my kde desided to go crazy,
not that i'm not pleased with my gnome, i would still like to work on KDE too.
redhat was pretty easy in installing kde but how can i delete it (or atleast kde's settings) so that it would get reset.
i get this error btw: (on load of kde and then i open kde applications on gnome sometimes)
The aplication [name goes here] crashed and caused the signal 11.
when i open kde i get one of these every second piling up one on top of the other.

I would guess that you could just reinstall the KDE packages over the top of your original ones as a last resort, but I'm shure on of the gurus will correct me

Do a `ls -a` on your home directory and you will be able to find kde config files. It should be something like .kde/, .kderc, etc. Make a backup of them and delete the original ones to force kde to reset. But you will lose all settings.
