reinstall xserver

I have core 3 running on my pc. I tried to install graphics drivers of redhat 9.0 by changing the shell file which is supposed to install the drivers. But now , after i reboot i got stuck at
"configuring kernel parameters" . I Think this is due to my wrong drivers.

Is there any way i can again reinstall the xserver from the core 3 cd`s , i mean only the xserver (something like restoring my old xserver configuration)

Did you backup your config and well, if possible, boot into single user mode or a rescue mode and remove the drivers you installed.
