regionally undoing curves/levels changes in gimp layer? (i.e. using black brush)
I've tried looking at some gimp sites but they didn't seem very active or i didn't know exactly what i was looking for.
anyways, in photoshop, i know that in the layer window, u can click a button on curves (or levels) and that'd add a new curves layer. you could then adjust ur curves (i.e. to brighten an image). If a region was overexposed, u'd then paint over it w/ a black brush and blackenedd region wouldn't be affected by the curves adjustment (note: u won't see black paint on the image itself--the "blackened region" just undoes any adjustments). If anyone knows how to do this in gimp, please let me know as well as how to adjust the paint brush size. thanks.
