Hi zameer,
After unzipping with gunzip u may have get tar archive ,right?

if so execute the following commands

1. tar -xvf somefilename.tar
navigate into that folder
2. ./configure
3. make
4. make install

after installing restart the system.

This is the process to install the packages in fedora , But i dont know ur specific server edition.
regards

sure ....it is "VIA RH9 Audio Driver V0.82A.gz" before gunzipp

and after gunzipp it is VIA RH9 Audio Driver V0.82A (it becomes in black color) . I think it becomes as file after gunzipp.

thanx with regds,

i think it could be a folder. U just rename the file without any extension.
and navigate into folder(if it is),
try with
./configure
make
make install
