regarding neat


hi everyone
happy new year to all
i got a problem
terminal->neat

it will open Network Configuration window

in this 2 buttons Activate and Deactivate are there

how can i use these buttons in my program

am doing the same example
am taking two buttons named as same
how can i do activate and deactivate operations without using neat

where these signals stores in my system F4

i hope you can understand my problem
please show me the way

never heard of neat... looks like an ancient version of a redhat tool?

ifup eth0

or

ifdown eth0

well this isn't a programming forum, and you've not said what language you're using. but in general some sort of shell call, yes. ifup and ifdown are also scripts in their own right, you may wish to look directly at what they do.
