Question RedHat Linux 8

Ok i've just got acopy of red hats new linux version 8. When Iwent to install it i got an error message and the install process stopped, stalling the computer.
Here are the last few lines of the install sequence.

RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
crc error<6>Freeing intrid memory: 2648k freed
EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock
cramfs: wrong magic
FAT:unable to read boot sector
isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=09:02, iso_blknum=16, block=32
Kernal panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 09:02

I was hoping somebody could help seeing as I'm just a newbie to Linux, coming from years of windows use.
Thanks,
Eoin Murphy

this looks to be a problem with your hdd i am thinking part of it is corrupt go in again and when linux asks you to format the partition it will go onto make sure you select thorough, or bad block checking

There is no options available to me to format the drive, since i'm installing from dos.
You see I'm not even getting to the setup interface.... I just run autoboot.bat and the error occurs during the initialization process, where it runs a pile of test and determine the setup of the machine.
If anyone else can help I would be brilliant.

P.s. (watashiwaotaku7)
I'll reformat the dive and run scandisk on it.

the boot program loads. And it runs the kernel and its then that I get the errors.
I've used boot disk and I get the errors. I've tried booting from the cd but the comp doesn't recognise them as bootable media.
Help!
