Unhappy

Hello Everyone,

I am able to install and also run the X of Debian, Corel, Caldera, Redmond distros BUT I have always failed with RED HAT.

With Redhat 6.1, 6.2, I used to reach the shell prompt atleast. But now with Redhat 7, I cannot even reach that. the installation hangs in between at 62%.

Can anybody guide me about how to solve this problem.

Note: I am not using dual boot. I am just using one Linux Distro.

Red Hat is the most successful commercial Linux & hence I am after it.

You say that all those other distro's worked, what kind of install are you attempting with RH? Also, what do you mean by 62%, is that when your installing the packages or what?

What does "startx" have to do with anything if you can't install?

sounds one more time like the "anaconda" problem, i mean the gui.
boot again with the RH7 install-CD and at the prompt type "text".
guess it will work than.
