Redhat 9 root login password
 

I started to install Redhat 9 on a Compaq Proliant 6500 server and it worked without a problem. At least until I went back in the set up the configuration network and it asked for my password. It keeps looking for the root password. I thought I gave it the root user id and password at start up. Because that was all I had.
Anybody knows how to reset the root password in Linux redhat 9.0

in www.fedorafaq.org/basics/ read the part about runlevel then go to the section on changing the root password, even though its a fedora FAQ it still might work...
