Redhat 9 on Laptop network probs...
Hey everyone, I have searched all over and can't find what I am doing wrong, so here is what is happening:
When I booted up the first time, Starting pcmcia gave me an error something like "count 8435 (not sure on the #) too high, resetting" and did that like 5 times over 10 minutes. I just turned it off and turned it back on, it didn't happen again for awhile. I can get linux to startup if I do NOT plug in my ethernet adapter (or my wireless card, but that issue will come a little later) and pcmcia says it starts fine ?!?!?! If I do plug a cable into the built in NIC then when Starting pcmcia just freezes. If I leave my wireless card in, it freezes (no matter if ethernet is plugged in or disconnected). I have not yet installed acpi but I don't think this has anything to do with it. Anyone have suggestions??? |
what is the brand names on the nic and the wireless card?
