Redhat 9 Installation Help Wanted !!
Hello Freinds,
I am in a deep shit, I just downloaded the ISO files from the net and by mistake i burned the files on to the CD's as ISO file not Image. So i cant do CD installations. The copy of the ISO image of Redhat 9 is in my D drive which is FAT32 and which i can access when i am using my Redhat 8. Help me out how to install the lastest version 9 and i heard that you can use the ISO file if it is in the HD and install them as a ISO file. I am new the Linux and i need your valuable comments of how to solve this problem. How to make a Installation Boot Disk (1.44FD). and after this how to install using the ISO file to Install Redhat 9. Thanks a lot. TraCe66 -------------------------------------------------- Somethings change but something do not! |
ISO image is what you want to burn to cd. Did you try to reburn a cd?

Well I am out of CDs right now. Well i managed to make a Installation Boot Disk and i have come to the screen where it ask me form where you want the installation from i.e Local CDROM, HD, FTP or HTTP.
I tryed useing the Local CD ROM option, but when i insert my CD which is having "shrike-i386-disc1.iso" file. The Boot does not recoganize this CD and say insert another CD. I tried using the Hard Disk option there also i used /dev/hda5 (d: FAT32) and gave the path where the ISO files are (/root/d/iso/) but its is saying the Directory not found" What shall i do now?????
