Not sure on this well down at the local College I go to. They decide since so many of us are about to gradute they should offer the class.
Internet, Intranet, Networking....
Really all this is a class on how to document the installation of Unix, Linux Red hat 8.0 and Microsoft 2000 server. Configure the servers to file share with each other.
Now jumping forward the teacher is certified in Cisco and has no experience what so ever with any kind of server set up. So I personally have 7 years experience with Administrator for windows computers. But am trying to learn linux not really that hard in my opionion.
The only thing is we tryed to install Red hat 8.0 the pro version.
We would get through to the point were you get question about the hard drive and it recongizes it and you would begin the install of files and all of a sudden a blue screen would come up with a bunch of squares I would say 9 squares. There buttons, but the buttons have no text in them and are blank.
Now the computer is a P III 600mhz it is a server series Compaq computer not sure on module type.
I've been blazing around the internet looking for an answer.
The only posting out there states sometimes Power Management casuses issues with installing Red Hat 8.0.
I'm betting that the problem is simply to fix.
Like buy a new hard drive....just kidding....
