RedHat 7.2 Installation problem

:smash: I'm a newbie to the Linux game but have been using other UNIX's for a long time.

Aside:(I download linux 7.2 and was trying to burn my own copy to a CDROM but found that it was to big to fit on a data CDROM formated under Windows Millenium. Then I read your not suppose to use a data CDROM format but then what format, no explanation at the RedHat site?).

Back to my question: So I ordered and received the Linux 7.2 CDROMS from Linux Central but the boot diskette I created had trouble recognizing the CDROM and so here I sit asking you why?
I created the boot diskette using the "rawrite ..\..\boot.img"
and it seems to be ok, but it says that the RedHat Linux7.2 CDROM is not in the HP CD-Writer 9100 CDROM drive when it really is in this drive. What gives, do I need soom kind of driver s/w, and if so how do I get it installed? I thought since my machines boot-prom can be set to boot off the CDROM drive that
I didn't have to use a boot diskette, but I could'nt get that to work so I'm stuck trying to use the diskette boot image method.

Seem to get stuck at every turn so far........

install from windoze boot disc

The simple install is to boot the computer with a windoze boot disc. If you dont have one you can download one from the net.
Start the computer with the windoze boot disc.
After booting choose first option install with cdrom support, or it will default anyway after 25sec or so.
Put your linux cd into the cdrom.
The prompt will be A:>\ enter the drive letter of your cdrom maybe d:, type > D: and <enter>.
type > cd dosutils <enter>.
then type > autoboot <enter>
the bootloader will begin the installation:)
