Redhat 7.1 install hangs..

I've been trying to install Redhat 7.1 on my older system. it's a P2-300Mhz, 64M ram, 10GB HD, pretty basic system.
I run the install through a bootable cdrom.
The whole install goes through fine until the end where it says Post-install configuration, then it hangs. I'm a complete newbie to linux so any help would be appreciated. I'm also doing this through the text install. My mouse doesn't seem to work using the gui, it just shoots up to the top right corner.

We were installing suse 7.1 on some computers at work, we had the same mouse problem (up in the top right corner) because the graphic card was not recognised. We had matrox g450's. Once they were replaced for older models the mouse problem went too.

Firstly we switched to text mode but that didn't help either the g420 sony monitors were not recognised either!, had to give the horz freq ion per hand. Sreen just blanked during installation.

Smile Maybe...

I've found some troubles too, trying to install RedHat 7.1 in 4 times, four different machines.

The only way I've found to finish a good installation was in "TEXT" mode.

In the end of the install process you'll be able to use the graphic interface.
To make the installation in text mode do this:
In the start screen type text and press enter. In this mode you will go without mouse support.
Keep in your mind that i'm a newbie in Linux too!

I hope it can help you.
