Red Hat Linux Enterprise Installation Steps

Hi Friends,

Guys I need your help. Can anybody give me the steps to install Red Hat Linux Enterprise (ES) with Win 98. I want to create 15 GB Partition for
Win 98 & 5 GB for Linux. I tried to install but everytime I got stuck while trying to make partition of SWAP , ROOT and all. Is 128 MB SD Ram sufficient with P-III 866 MHz processor.

One more thing I want to know that which OS should be installed first Linux or WIN 98.

Thanks in Advance.

Welcome to LQ.

I would install windows first then you will be able to overwrite the bootloader with one that can boot both OSs.

What error do you get when you try to partition the drive?

Your PC spec should be fine.

You need 3 partitons

1.Use FDISK to make a windows partition, and install windows
2.Use partition software to resize fat32 partition to 5gb, if it is oversized
3.Create a Linux Native partition, with mount point /
4. Create a Swap partition, with size 256mb

Hope this helps,
Ben
