red hat 7.0 cant load


i recently installed redhat 7 on my system in an effort to get my 3 com ethernet nic to work i did something wrong dont know exactly what though after i restarted the system now i cant get into it i get this message...

"ACCORDING TO /var/run/gda.pid,gdm was already running (12)
but seems to have been murdered mysteriously"......

this message comes up in a flashing screen manner it comes up then disappear can any one out there help? ......

Are you trying to start with a GUI login or just a regular console?
