recompiling g++

So I really want to get steam working without wine on my crunchbang system. In case nobody has ever tried this, the difficulty is that “libc6 >= 2.15″ is not available in the package manager.

I have been debating installing the experiemental version and recompiling g++ and everything else which I break in the process. Any advice, has anyone ever seen a tutorial for this?
