Question recompile kio_smtp

Hi!

I compiled KDE-3.5 a few days ago and until today everything worked fine. Now I tried to send an email using KMail and and an SMTP-Server which requires authentication but KMail told me that authentication is not supported because it was not compiled into kio_smtp.

So I want to recompile kio_smtp but I do NOT want to recompile the entire KDE. Is that possible? What do I have to do to get kio_smtp with authentication?

Thanx,
Christoph =)

just start off with a fresh package or reconfigure the build directory you used
then
cd into the specific apps directory and do make and make install from there
i guess that would be cd ./kdebase-x.x.x/kioslave
