Recommendations for competible PDC and E-Mail server

Hi,

I had to setup Samba4 for a graduation project.
Figured out how to create users, groups and shares
Then joined Windows XP clients to the domain and everything works realy nice.

I just don't want to throw this nice pice of work away and want to setup email function on this server, just like how MS Exchange and Active Directory works together.

What product could I use at this point to be able to create email boxes for these users in the Samba's database. So I can authenticate them with same passwords through email clients and maybe they can see their files through a web interface?

I found Zimbra can do tings similar to what I want, is this a good product to start with?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
