make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11/source SUBDIRS=/soft/alsa-driver-1.0.9 O=/lib/modules/2.6.11/build modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11'
/bin/sh: /usr/src/linux-2.6.11/scripts/gcc-version.sh: No such file or directory
make[3]: /usr/src/linux-2.6.11/scripts/Makefile.build: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11/scripts/Makefile.build'. Stop.

make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2

Did you install your kernel source?

I've used apt-get to install them but now in my /usr/src dir there's only the tar.bz package.

Do you suggest to unpack it??? And if yes the precompilled files will be substituited by new ones????

Ok I've copied the entire scripts directory from kernel sources under my kernel dir.

Now when I run make here's what happen

Code:
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11/source SUBDIRS=/soft/linux_r32/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a O=/lib/modules/2.6.11/build modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11'
  CC [M] /soft/linux_r32/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a/acore/hwdep.o
/bin/sh: scripts/basic/fixdep: No such file or directory
make[4]: *** [/soft/linux_r32/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a/acore/hwdep.o] Error 1
make[3]: *** [/soft/linux_r32/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a/acore] Error 2
make[2]: *** [_module_/soft/linux_r32/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a] Error 2
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11'
make: *** [compile] Error 2
What's missing now???

I've copied the kernel source under /usr/src/linux

When I run make here's the new output:

Code:
  Building modules, stage 2.
  MODPOST
/bin/sh: scripts/mod/modpost: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [__modpost] Error 127
make[2]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.11'
make: *** [compile] Error 2
