Realplayer only launches with 'root' on RH9

Hi,

I installed realplayer via theRealPlayer-8.0-1.i386.rpm rpm on Redhat 9.0 and can only run it with 'root'. When I attempt to run the realplayer command with a different user it just hangs without producing the Real Player GUI; i.e. no errors.

If someone can point me in the right direction to start to debug this problem it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Try to download the tarball and compilit yourself instead of the rpm...Also make sure you have permission on all the realplayer files in normal user.

Hoep it helps
