realplayer controls in Linux
hi, i have installed Realplayer on Linux (RH9).
When I launch realplayer from command line with help option (realplay -h), it tells me that I can send commands to a running realplayer using -r option. I can send start play command using this (just give realplay -r abcd.mp3). But I am not able to figure out how to give other commands like Stap, Pause etc. Can somebody help / give pointer to any documentation that helps? thanks, ravi. |

http://service.real.com/realplayer/ You can't open realplay from CLI. You have to be running a GUI. Why not use the buttons on Real Player to stop, pause etc. |
hello, thanks for the reply.
in Linux, I can launch the real player from the CLI. (i did it last week after installing it). I can use the buttons provided and GUI, but I needed the CLI options so that I could control it by another program.. realplayer does provide CLI options but it does give details.. regards, ravi. |
