Similarly for installs.

Um... that won't work: RealBasic was installed from a tarball downloaded from the developers site, not yum. (If you know how to install realbasic via yum, please please let us know?)
[edit]I have seen talk of redhat rpms for RB ... if this was an rpm install, then it can be removed using the rpm utility.)[/edit]
AFAIK: RB is not designed to be uninstalled
the FAQ dosn't seem to have this, and it
must be frequently asked! Can you see inside the RB installer?
If you can, then you will be able to figure out all the directories created and where files have been put. Then it is a matter of reversing the commands.
Probably all the files are in one place (the developers are windows people after all) and you need only remove that directory ... and any menue items and launchers as well.
If you are very lucky, the installer has an uninstall option. If this was a makefile, you could try "make uninstall".
Now you understand why older hackers warn away from "visual" programming and encourage you to "learn to program" instead. For programming under linux, consider bash, python, and C++ ... with java thrown in for good measure. A little goes a long way, so don't get too stressed learning everything at once.
