Congrats - you should really tell us how you did it, since you were having trouble in your previous thread on this subject.

You could always yum uninstall monodevelop and see if it goes away.
Reinstall RB , which should reallocate the memory.
Or check the syslogs for clues.

(./RealBasic then, right after the error, dmesg | tail)

A "segmentation fault" (sig 11) occurs when you try to access a non-existant physical memory address.

Read the man page for 'yum' and checkout the 'remove' option.
Similarly for installs.

Um... that won't work: RealBasic was installed from a tarball downloaded from the developers site, not yum. (If you know how to install realbasic via yum, please please let us know?)

[edit]I have seen talk of redhat rpms for RB ... if this was an rpm install, then it can be removed using the rpm utility.)[/edit]

AFAIK: RB is not designed to be uninstalled the FAQ dosn't seem to have this, and it must be frequently asked! Can you see inside the RB installer?

If you can, then you will be able to figure out all the directories created and where files have been put. Then it is a matter of reversing the commands.

Probably all the files are in one place (the developers are windows people after all) and you need only remove that directory ... and any menue items and launchers as well.

If you are very lucky, the installer has an uninstall option. If this was a makefile, you could try "make uninstall".

Now you understand why older hackers warn away from "visual" programming and encourage you to "learn to program" instead. For programming under linux, consider bash, python, and C++ ... with java thrown in for good measure. A little goes a long way, so don't get too stressed learning everything at once.

I downloaded Realbasic 2006 last week from the developers site and all I had to do was untar the file and start using the program, there was no need to install or configure anything.

Ah -gotcha - the tarball contains complete binaries then.
No installer, no source, no makefile.

Do you know how to uninstall it?
(With no installer, then, it just sticks all it's files in one directory ... removing this directory removed RB ... unless there is a special dialog when you first use it.)

Any comment on the "package unsigned" error in fedora?
