Real player 8 serious delay

I install the real player 8 and it works, well kinda. Every time I use it has about 5 minutes delay. I am not sure what the cause is. I am suspecting my video card has to do something with, since when I update the driver for GeForce 4, some high graphical application have trouble starting. I am using a AMD Athol +2000 XP processor and RH9, this alone might be the problem, but I just wanna make sure that I am not mistaking. Could be that someone got on bottom of this, if so please advise me. I will greatly appriciate it. And just a quick question, when I go on the NVIDIA.com to update my driver it gives me 3 options for linux : Linux IA32 , Linux AMD64 , and Linux IA64. Which one would be the best one for my PC? Thanks for the help!

Is Real Player the default handler for the type of file you are trying to open?
