I just installed java on redhat 9 and the touchpad on my compaq notebook wont work now can anybody help?

java breaking aq touchpad thats new. I do not thinkt hey are related in the slightest.... make sure the touchpad is enabled inthe bios, also see if the touchpad or generic ps/2 device is seen by the kernel (type dmesg | more)
