Re: An error occured in avast! engine: Invalid argument


I cant get avast anti-virus to run on my acer aspire netbook running linux linpus I am new to linux and did managed to install the software but when I try to open the application I get the an error occured in avast engine invalid argument I have looked through the forums and tried altering the shmmax value but dose not work in my distro terminal gives back a message (command not found) can anyone suggest a fix .
