This is perhaps the coolest thing that has happened for ages.
I've just discovered version 1.4 of rdesktop and they have perfected file transfer between linux and XP via M$ remote desktop.
using a script like ths,
Code:
#!/bin/bash
/usr/local/bin/rdesktop -a 16 -g 1024x800 -r disk:linux=/home/USER/rdesktop_shares -u XP_USER_NAME <XP.BOX.IP.ADDY>
exit 0
saved as 'rdesktop' makes connected to XP boxes and transferring files as easy as cd'ing to the script directory and then
The BEST bit though is that on XP, in MY COMPUTER will be a shared drive called 'linux' that contains whatever you put in /home/USER/rdesktop_shares. Just copy n paste to transfer stuff.
for lots of other options
Woooooooohooooooo...another reason to have XP ticked off the list....just dvd_shrink ANd decrypt to go :-)
