Rawr! Help me with wine please!

Ok I've posted here about five times in the last eight hours and you have helped me with every single question and I just wanted to say you are wonderful people for helping me! I've always been intimidated with linux and I have been it for about ten hours and I have already done more with it than I ever could have dreamed with windows. I just wanted to say thank you!

And here's my question:

I installed wine from source and at the end it said something about it wont be able to read the dll libraries until i do this or that. Being stupid I went right past that and here I am getting this message everytime I do anything to open a wine program:

wine: error while loading shared libraries: libntdll.dll.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This is what I got when I tried to open wine notepad.exe.

Help? Thank you.

ok with that error i am getting the feeling your using redhat 9....
now if this is true, keep reading, if it is not, then state otherwise what distro your using...so if it is rh9, read::

you will uninstall the source package that you installed and remove all traces of wine on your system....including the hidden .wine folder in your home directory...
then you will get this rpm package and install it, and then re-create your fake wine directory .... and then try running something...
