.rar mime.types

People are seeing character dumps load when trying to download .rar files off my apache web server. I tried to remedy this by adding

Code:
application/x-rar-copressed rar
to my mime.types, but to no avail - the problem persists. Whatever do I do!

Also, isn't it ridiculous that this is not in the mime.types file? (fedora 7) exe's and dll's are in there.

Ah sorry - I mistyped when I posted. It does read compressed in mime.types.

Okay.. try
Code:
application/rar rar
I don't use Apache, and I'm not sure what that SHOULD be, but that's what I have in mime.types, and my lighttpd serves it right. Where did you get "application/x-rar-compressed" from?

AFAIK it's "application/x-rar rar" in mime.types or "AddType application/x-rar .rar" in httpd.conf.
