Rar Files

I am having trouble getting multiple volumed rar files to uncompress. When I try to uncompress with file roller 2.4.1.1 it tells me that it cannot find the first volume, which is in the same folder. If I try to do it command line with rar or unrar it reads that no files were found to uncompress.

Can you try to "somehow" convert them to ACE? Because I know that there is a program called UnAce that is avilable for linux. You may have to run Winbloze to do the conversion

winrar also exists for linux. don't think its freeware though..

Is there a way to convert from rar in ace in linux, cause i dont have windows installed on my laptop

Well, this is a very dirty solution to the problem but it might work.
Using Samba, share up the RAR files in a read/write directory. Then go to a winodws machine on the network, and have it extract the RAR files to that same directory.

IU realize this is NOT the ideal solution, but all the same it should work for you
