rails demo not showing up

Hi. I have been trying to work the rails demo application on my centos machine but unfortunately haven't got anywhere. I have posted this issue over at google groups. You can followup on that post here.

They have mentioned something about iptables which I am not aware of. I went and visited the link they've mentioned and tried the following command on my shell:

system-config-securitylevel

It showed me a dialog box where it says my firewall is disabled.

If my firewall shows disabled why is it that the rails demo is not working. None of the requests I issue from the browser are hitting the web server program...
