raid0 personality registered...
 

Okay, stumped here. Helping a friend load Slackware on his Dell Inspiron 2500 and during installation we had to select bare.i for it to start the installation cause it would hang on or after:

md driver 0.36.6 MAX_MD_DEV=4, MAX_REAL=8
linear personality registered
raid0 personality registered

and it freezes there......

we bypassed it with the bare.i option to start the installation.. but I can't seem to find or get any options at lilo prompt to bypass so it will not try to load the raid md0 driver or module..

any help is appreciated and if anyone knows the bootprompt I could try to bypass this to load would be great.. just to let you know, I have tried about everything I could in the bootprompt howto at www.linuxdoc.org and nothing worked unless I am doing it wrong.. hmmm.. :rolleyes:

Tried that and it wouldn't work. Actually went the long route and reinstalled the system, not installing any type of raid packages.. works like a charm now.

Yeah, it sucks.. cause if I ever get stumped on something and can't find it or fix, I post. And from there it is usually a weird off the wall non-regular issue concerning a problem that then no one can answer right away and I end up fixing myself.
