Quickbooks Linux?

I have a few questions

I want to change our office os to Linux completely. Everything seems to be in order but our problem lies in our use of Quickbooks Pro. It is no longer an option to re-encode everything to a Linux accounting software due to the years of usage of Quickbooks.

I have searched a bit and found Appgen at http://t2100cdt.kippona.net/linux/appgen/ Have you guys tried this out successfully?

Is it possible to access a POS (Point of Sale) system running under DOS to Linux?

One final question is on whether or not to upgrade our office computers. What distro is good with slower computers (Celeron class)?

crossoveroffice i have read up on and is what ill be looking into over the next year or so for the exact same reason as you mention.

i run a small business and use QB pro for all of my billing, accounting, inventory, etc. i currently run a win2k domain, but have replace win2k pro on my PoS computer with RH9. it is so much faster now getting access to the TS for QB its not even funny.

i look forward to getting a 100% *nix setup in my office. i hope to be able to do that within the next year as my skills with *nix come closer to that of M$. very heavy M$ guy so i have a lot to learn with *nix before im 100% comfortable with this kind of move.

Thanks for the replies. I can't seem to understand how appgen works? A site indicated that it can import files from Quickbooks while the Appgen homepage didn't indicate anything about it. Currently I'm guessing that it's a Linux alternative to Quickbooks.
