Quick XMMS question

Whoa! Deja vu...is this like a complete clone of Win32's WinAmp or am I seeing things? Anyway..... :D

Last night I was playing with this, and I couldn't find where to put skins or plug-ins. So I looked up how to search for files. Here's the weird part. It was listed under my home directory. So I went into it...and didn't see it listed. It looked like this "/home/Bigun/.XMMS/"

So in a blind step of faith I typed it into Naulitus and it opened. Ok, whats the deal with a diractory being there but not being listed, is it a link or something?

cool, finaly a question i can answer. .whaterver files (preceded with a ".") are hidden folders/files.

Ohhhh....this is starting to make sense....

so if file starts with "." it is hidden and if it ends with "~" it usually mans it is a backup file. For example if you use emacs to edit a file, many times Emacs will save the original file before you modified it as File~ and the "~" means it is a backup.

you can see all files in a directory by using the -a parameter in the ls command. so in your case, to see all files and directories in your home directory, you could type from the prompt:

ls -a /home/Bigun
