quick apache 2 question

After setting up my apache server and ftp server i can upload everything fine but when I visit my site i can only access the index.html.

example:

www.mysite.com takes me to the main page
www.mysite.com/nextpage should take me to next page but it doesnt.

anyone know why this would act in such a way.

btw. im running apache 2 on Fedora Core 3 if that makes any difference.

thanks in advance for any help.

hi, what is ´nextpage´...a dir or a htm-file?
..does it match the directoryindex-parameter?

the nextpage is just another html file in the same directory as the index.html.

if by directoryindex-parameter you mean is it an allowed file type then yes, it is the same file type as the index. (html)

what does your error_log tell of the incident? The correct path is mentioned in your httpd.conf

When you specify the nextpage, are you including the extension

ie

www.mysite.com/nextpage.html

Apache does not implicitly add the ext.
