Question Question re: Kooka

Hi.

I got an old Canon scanner (N1220U) from a friend. I was able to get Fedora Core 4 to recognize it right away, which was a nice surprise. Being a KDE user, I am happy that KDE includes a very nice scanning program called Kooka. It works very well with my scanner.

Now, my question. Kooka's main window has a setting for "Resolution," ranging from 50 to 2400. I wonder what this number indicates? Is it megapixel, or something else? The online manual is not helpful. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA,
Dai
