Question Question about Modem driver

Hi,
I got a question. I have a computer running Beowulf, and I also have a modem for it, but I can't find anything to get the modem to work on my linux computer. I have looked at linmodems.org and unless I am stupid, which I think that may be, that didn't help to much. The FCC No. on it is H8NTA1-31778-M5-E. If anyone could help that would be more then greatly appriciated. Thanks,
Cyphir

Oh, that's because you had a "1" when you needed an "I"

It should be:

H8NTAI-31778-M5-E not
H8NTA1-31778-M5-E

It shows it as a "MagicXpress MX56V-X" is this correct? Try the Winmodem site again using the correct string

http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/20010731a.html

(and it shows that it works)

As for how to get a modem working in a beowulf cluster, I imagine that these folks can help out
