qtvision cvs

I am having some trouble compiling the qtvisoin tv application. I had the older alpha release working but I would like to update to the newest cvs version. Ther error I get is during compile and it says: "File generated with too recent version of Qt Designer (3.2 vs. 3.1.2)" The problem is that I do have designer 3.2 but configure isnt seeing it. In /usr/lib I have four different qt directories: qt, qt-3.1, qt-3.1.2, and qt-3.2.1. The variable $QTDIR is set to /usr/lib/qt-3.2.1 but during configure the line where it checks for qt states that I have qt-3.1.2. So I have two questions:

1. How do I make configure see the newest version of qt.

2. Do I really need four qt versions installed at once?

Thanks for the help.
