qt & gtk fonts size change after reboot

i do have a problem. i use kde-3.1.4 and almost after every reboot/poweroff i have to change my settings for the fonts, because they are either 2-3 sizes sizes too big or too small. i'm using now kernel-2.6.0-test11 but had the same problem with 2.4. sometimes it helps to just shutdown the X-server, but often it doesn't change the fonts to the "true" size even after several init3, killall X ect.

it affects both qt apps AND gtk applications, so i have to switch the size from 8 to 10 and backwards. i even reinstalled slackware but i still have the same problem. so i guess there should be a workarround for that bug.

i hope there are any suggestions, because this is really annoying.

not really sure if that sounds anythign like a bug, sounds like you're using an unsuitable dpi for the X server. try creating a ~/.xserverrc file containing "X -dpi 75" for... obviously.... 75dpi fonts
