Qt 3.x scrweup!

Hi, I'm trying to compile KDE programs and I will infallibly get a Qt 3 or greater not installed error, but it IS! It's installed as 'qt3', not 'qt-3.whatever' (I'm on SuSE 9).

Does anyone know how to fix this??

Thank you!

Could you post the exact error message that you are getting, including several lines before the error message and maybe a couple after.

For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

That's it.

I have qt3-3.2.1-58 installed (SuSE installed it at install time).

Thanks, this has been screwing up every app that I try to build in KDE.

you've got to do
export QTDIR=path/tp/where/you/installed/Qt
before doing ./configure

"Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!"

If you compiled Qt yourself you may have compiled it without thread support. You have to specify thread support on the ./configure command when you compile Qt. The default is to compile Qt without thread support. The command is:
./configure -thread

I didn't install Qt3, it was installed with SuSE9 by YaST during the install.

OK, I've exported the QTDIR.

Let me try to compile a Qt app...
