for various personal purposes, I tried to compiling the
qt 3.3.8 libs

but, at very first stages (qmake building) I get this error:

I also tried to re-compiling the whole
glibc-2.5, but I got again same error
I then tried also with
glibc-2.6.1, recompiling from source, but same error was shown again
can anyone give me some advices?
