QSettings: failed to open file '/usr/lib/qt-3.1/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.1rc' ???

HI All,

I have ICEWM installed on my REdhat 9

if i login as a normal user and run

#konsole or any other program
QSettings: failed to open file '/usr/lib/qt-3.1/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.1rc'

shows up...

i am really confused on how to eliminate this error evry time i run a program...

and also

when i "su -" from my user account

and run a program

like #konsole

i get -->_KDE_IceTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root

i did #chown root /tmp/.ICE-unix

but evry time i login as a normal user ... the permissions are getting reverted...

Any Help appreciated!!!!

and Thanks in Advance.................

Try clearing out your tmp directory (rm -rf /tmp/*).
If it failed to read to /usr/lib/qt-3.1/etc/settings/qt_plugins_3.1rc then its either because it doesn't exist or isn't readable by the current user.
