Can you post the complete output of "make setup check". Were there any errors in the commands before that?

Does your system have glibc 2.3.1 or newer (ie RH9)? Then you may need the glibc patch to compile it.

I don't believe it's glibc 2.3.1+ because I installed qmail 1.03 on a RH 8 box.

Good mornig to all
Thanks for the replys

how can I see if I have glibe 2.3.1 ...
and where can I get the patch ?

stickman 08-01-2003 08:12 AM

Yeah, I had no problems on RH8 (glibc 2.2.93), but RH9 died right away. RH9 uses 2.3.2. Check your version with:
rpm -qa glibc

If you do need the patch you can get it from www.qmail.org. Just search the page for Redhat.

Like said above, you can download the patches at www.qmail.org. You will need to download:
qmail-1.03.errno.patch
ucspi-tcp-0.88.errno.patch
daemontools-0.76.errno.patch

For help applying the patches you can visit qmailrocks.org

I have found a list serve for qmail. But I can not submit any questions to it. Can someone post the e-mail address that I need to send to. Or I'll just post my question here.

I want to get the error out of memory when I do a "ps axfww" in
readproctitle. The error is "No such file or directory?" refering to
the local mail directory. I do not want to use this server for pop mail
right now.

Is there a way to do this without patching the source? I don't have
trouble reading just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

Red Hat 9
Qmail 1.03

Thanks
Casey
