Python shell autocomplete

Hey all -

I am running Ubuntu 11.10. I could have sworn that the python shell (running the standard python command) had an auto complete feature using TAB. It's not doing this anymore. Is there anythin I may have done that disabled this and can I turn it back on?

Thanks all!

A quick google finds this amongst other things.

I didn't realise that you could enable tab completion in the standard Python shell and have always used IPython.
